this happened while playing around saturday night doing some scanning.
whoops.

as you can tell this lifter was not happy with the abuse it was taking. it decided to end it's life at 6400 RPMs. luckily, the top part was the only part that blew. the cam is still ok, as is the pushrod. i replaced all mexican junk with OEM lifters.

i wonder if my 105# springs were made by the same guy

Dan it is. Yea it's just a nuisance. The car has a lot of potential sources of ticking right now so I'm not to worried. Leaking around the EGR where it goes into the rear header and the SLP header flex notoriously ticks too.
