I know some of you have been looking for a engine so i though i would post something that we ran across on the got3800.com side of life:

LT 6 motor from 96 corvette with 4 speed auto trans.... low miles...been in storage for last 5 years, hand turned flywheel regularly to keep from seizing.
1500 for both, or 1000 for motor, 500 for trans... or best offer, must go all offers considered

they never made an LT6. LT4 was the standard engine for the C4 vettes. the ZR1 came with an LT5 which had dual overhead cams.

i just reposted...lol, i honestly dont know what engine it is, like i posted theres pics on the site as well as details....the engine was left with the house that the guy bought and ever since hes been turning it by hand to keep it moving....he kinda inherited it.

just so you know. The LT1 was standard in the 92-96 vettes. LT4 was optional in the grand sport vettes and the LT5 was the dual overhead cam mercruiser/GM 350 in the ZR1

All 6speed Vettes, in '96 came with the LT4 too, whether they were GS's or not. But, those a few and far between. Since this one came out of an auto car, it's just an LT1.
