3800 Acer

Well I picked up my Acer Laptop today (see below thread) and im very happy to have my first laptop. I was kinda skeptical about the brand but ive heard good things about them. (for the most part) It was a HELL of a deal from Best Buy.

AMD Dual Core
160GB Hard Drive
15.4 Crystalbrite Screen
Upgraded Graphics ATI
2GB DDR (best feature)
DVD/CD Multiformat Burner
Cheapest Battery (probably upgrade later)
Web Cam (suprised at the quality)
Vista Premium
Bluetooth/wifi
etc...

After taxes 550$$$$ Online deal only! Im happy with it so far...knock on wood!

I need to go to best buy and buy an extended warranty just to be on the safe side.

Anyone else have an Acer?

Other than being really plain looking they're not bad laptops. I had one 3 or 4 years ago.

I'm typing on mine right now; it's an Aspire 5100 with what you have but only 1 Gig DDR & XP instead of Vista.

I got it a year ago from Circuit City on Black Friday for $600 and it's worked great since.

Acer just bought out Gateway making it the 3rd largest PC mfgr in the world. Didn't think they had it in 'em.

I'm guessing the "P", "O" and "N" buttons are sticky too?

So far so good! I like it very much. My SIM card for my ATT wireless card should be arriving Monday. Then I will be online and on the go! Its kinda pricey for the unlimited plan but since I cant get DSL and im going Dish asap its my only option.
