3800 SOMEONE'S GOTTA HAVE ONE

I am ready to put my motor back together again and found a good size tear in the end piece of the LIM gasket. The gaskets only have a couple thousand miles on em and they are in perfect condition. I must have ripped it when I put them in and don't want to put that back in.
SO, does anyone have one laying around from an old gasket change. I don't want to have to buy a whole new set.

ok, guess, I'm buying a new gasket set tomorrow. I gotta get this motor back in and running this weekend.

Im actually going to be changing my LIM gaskets on friday. i guess if you want you can have the old ones...

Why use an old one???? Take the chance of a leak and causing some really serious issues. Didn't you say in another thread you were going to do this right so that you don't have to do it again? Get a new one its worth it.

cause the end pieces don't really go bad, and the two main pieces only have like 2000 miles on em and are in perfect condition. I was just trying to save myself $50 bucks. Eh well.

5/16ths inch bead of permatex "the right stuff" i never use the end gaskets



also find permatex aviation 300 sealer for the LIm gaskets, it never hardens and is designed for aircraft seals of the same type...works great when someone screws up the mating surfaces with a 3m roloc disk...
