Has been coming up ever since a shitty fuel pump replacement job was done. What could it be?

a loose clamp on the fill/vent tube to the tank, a broken/kinked vent line from the sending unit, fuel tank pressure sensor/grommet poor seal at the sending unit to tank Oring, evap canister loosing charcoal and blocking the vent or purge solenoid open or you could have a bad gas cap/gasket or a nicked filler neck lip...

that should cover the possibilities... take it back to the shop that performed the work and have them investigate it...
