3800 cold air intake

Hey i jsut got a cone filter and i was removing the old airfilterbox and i came across the computer for the car and now i dont know what to do with the comp. if any one had this problem please help me i have no clue what to do.

pull the computer out of the box and set it on top of the frame rail. You should find a way to secure it too, ie velcro strips.

yes the connections are supposed to be water proof. most of us run fenderwall intakes that have them exposed at all times

That aint cool dude. He probably went out right away and put his airbox back in.

Dont worry about the Computer aka PCM its ok if it is exposed. Just grab some velcro with the tape and stick it right on top of where your airbox used to sit.

Ok here are some pics for you, but watch how far you go. Cause once you get there and want to return you can't get back. It cost a shit load of money to keep everything running right, and cost you even more of your time. It is fun as hell when it runs right, but its not that easy.

If your looking for a CAI, ported TB,PCM and a 3.5 pulley and stay there you will be ok,but remember you will need a trans or two rebuilt.

My grandprix setup, been like that now for 8 years and not a single problem

My Buick Regal not sure how long it has been like that. I will move this one to the same as the GP just cause I don't like the idea of it sitting against a hot bottle of coolant.

Hope this helps and don't get scared off to easy, cause if you do that means you were never meant to do anything to your car. Cause if you give up that easy, your in for a long unfun ride.

no such thing as a chip for our cars. we re-program or replace the pcm with modified tables
companys such as DHP do this
