Add lower blower rpms, you won't see any difference with porting a blower and only a very small difference with the Gen 5.
As blower rpms increase, a ported gen 3 with matched intake can give 20HP and a stock Gen 5 another 20 on top of that. The clearance from rotor to casing is tighter on a gen 5 than on a gen 3.

so if you have a ported gen 3 its pretty much the same as a gen v? but if you get the gen v ported its just another 20hp over that? because i got the zzp stage 4 blower, and you guys took that off and now just have the stage 3. whats the difference between all that?

I Gen V is is already a much more efficient blower stock for stock vs the Gen III.  The gen III is capeable of more than it is stock by porting it it gains 20HP, but with the Gen V, you  will see minimal to no gains by porting it because its already efficient....

but the 20 hp doesnt count just from that, the TB can be a restriction on them and the computer is differnt
and they can run on 87 octane(orginal advertisement)un mod'd.
if a ported l67 TB or northstar was put on a l32 04 im sure the gains would be more.and then we would argue that a gen 5 can add 30+ HP if we bolt it on.
but because of the drive by wire its not really an option yet.
end of story it will gain more then a ported gen 3. wonder why the fastest m-90 car has a gen 5. or needs another big power adder. im sure someone like matt can get close to that with a gen 3. personaly i would upgrade to a gen 5(home porting if any). just me, plus thier whine is a little differnt, and sleeker i think.

Ed has never had a Gen5 M90 car...

Quickest Gen5 was Tim King's Stage 4 cam/heads GTP that went 11.1 @ 120 or 121

Fastest M90 only is Zoom's 10.8
Gen3 M90 was his only power adder

Ed ran a Gen3, Intense S3 setup, and spray and ran 11.0 @ 125

Tim ran IS4 setup and a Gen5 and went 11.16 @ 120
