Ok, so my insider at Farm and Fleet just told me that Mobile1 is gonna be on sale for 4.39 a quart. 26.34 per case. 1$ off per quart. I just figured that I would let you all know in case you wanted to go pick up a case or two.

The closest Farm and Fleet to my house is I think in Belvideer. Driving all that way to save a few bucks isnt worth it. Sounds like a DEAL if there is one near you though.

Thats cheap but no one would ever beat this sale. Lee Auto Parts had a birthday sale a few months back. I bought a CASE of oil for $1.20, 10 cents a quart. It was the ghetto store brand but you still couldnt beat the price, I use it in our beaterz.

I'm gonna have to check if the farm in fleet near here is still in business, thats what I use, and the car NEEDS an oil change in a bad way.

walmart sell mobile one for 21 dollars for 5 qts everyday...thats 4.40 a qt

Hmm I may have to pick up 2 cases one for the car and one for our family minivan. I've been meaning to convert it to synthetic since it goes like 7k miles between oil changes. :slap:

7k miles??? um..... its still regular oil changes... there is the new syn 5k oil and the 15k oil.

And i used to work there for a year, and know every day person in that store since they all have worked there for 10 years lol the sale starts wednesday.

Hmm.. so the Mobil 1 on sale isnt Synthetic? Im just assuming running synthetic longer is better then running dino longer.. granted 7k is bad enough.

The "Drive Clean" branded Mobil oil is like $2 something a quart vs the $5 something for the M1 or M1 Extended performance, because the drive clean oil isnt a full synthetic.

the standard mobile 1 synthetic is technically rated at 7500 miles.

the extended performance is synthetic as well, but with different formulation, etc and rated at 15000

From what I read on the quart, and on the website the Drive Clean 7500 is a synthetic blend oil while the 5000 is just conventional oil.

OK... the driveclean 5000 is reg. dino.... the driveclean 7500 is a blend... the mobil 1 is full synthetic....

somewhere in the mix, i didnt realize there was a driveclean 7500 at all....

I use Royal Purple and change it after every race weekend. Believe it or not the cheapest place to get it at is Winners Circle in downtown Joliet. Also, I don't use cheap oil filters. When you're near or at redline for most of the race, you don't need to worry about your oil filter blowing out.
