very common...

Mine's had a very slow leak for about 4 years....
Aside from some spots in my garage and driveway, it's really not a big deal.

how extensive of a job is it to put a new gasket in?

I had my oil pan/gasket replaced before on my GTP, it started leaking again a few months later. It didnt leak on the ground but I could see oil around the pan evertime I got under her and changed the oil. My machanic said its really common and there isnt really anything you can do about it. Replace it, dont be surprized if its starts leaking again though.

Its leaking from the passenger frame rail? have you checked with a light to see if its not a front crank seal on the front cover? and the pan gasket?
