3800 Need to purchase c entral air / furnace

I'm looking to replace my heater/furnace and thought it would be a good time to put in central air at the same time. Anyone have any recommendations for someone in the chicago area that has reasonable rates and good product ?

I'm guessing there's at least one HVAC guy here so lets hear it !

I just put in a new furnace...

90+% effeciency.. pilotless (elec. ignition)

cost 2500 installed, included redoing all electric, and ductwork around furnace. and included the ac coil.

what brand ? who'd you go through ? Was that the complete AC setu por just the part that sits in with the furnace ??/

Yeah, are TRANE and HEIL and them worth all the extra $$$?

mine was a Trane.. and it was only for the Furnace, Ac Coil, and Complete Installation. I called quite a few places, and this guy was the cheapest (although not why I went with him)

ALso, check your local ordinances, most places require a permit to change a furnace.

oh yeah.. it also included new gas lines, and ductwork becuase the person who had done it originally.. sucked!

All I know is dont use "Dependon Heating". They installed a new AC and it hasnt worked from day 1. $2000 down the drain. That was 3 years ago. It was a battle trying to get it to work over those years. Now the warranty is up, so they wont work on it anymore. ARRghhh.
