I really like how the flat black turned out and given how much the drivetrain will be in and out of this car it's going to be a plus because it won't get conspicuously dirty, can be easily touched up, and adds a clean look to the car.

The paint will be nothing. I agree about the windows. Get lexan if its gonna be a drag car.

Lexan side windows are VERY expensive and only save about 15 lbs.

I think Hale was just being sarcastic. Lexan windows are so ridiculously expensive that it's not even a consideration. I can lose 15lbs somewhere else. I'll probably even end up running the front and rear glass windshields for the beginning of the season.

It is a lightweight carbon fiber hood. It only weighs around 10-15 lbs. That is my old one, I have the same one on my new car.
