3800 85lb springs verses 95lb springs...

I'm approaching the time when I'm going to do the rockers and I see that the 85lb springs are on sale for $40 less than the 95lb springs.

How well will these work with 1:9 rockers?
What is the rating on the stock valve springs?

Keep in mind that I do not run the engine over 6000 RPM and that's only at the track.

I would go with the 95 lbs springs for sure. You might get by with the 85's but better safe than sorry.......... I tried the 1.9's with stock springs and it only resulted in a valve coming in contact with my piston. So I would much rather have valve train wear than have a valve smack the piston....

What Gen on the rockers, I ran 85lb with the Gen I for a year and a half with no probs. Actually, I still have them with the cam. I am shifting at 6300 rpm and no valve float, yet. If I remember correctly, the 105's work best with the Gen III rockers...
