Robs SD hood fit fine. Take a look at it. I know if you mess with the bolts that hold the hood down, you can mess with the hood and try to make it fit better.

Where there's a will there's a way. I work in a body shop everyday, Im only a painter so I cant talk too much crap but I've seen some WAY off-line aftermarket stuff fit fine, you just need someone with experience in the business. Just my 2 cents.

True, true, and true... I have not seen it and he would not tell me what was wrong. He wanted me to come and look so I am doing that!

Hopefully he just wants to ask a few question, something that Rex can answer for him.

The biggest problem is the rear points on the hood are too high so he will need to grind them down and re gelcoat those parts. The drivers side as a whole is high so he is probably going to space up the fender a bit if he cannot eliminate the gap. The front, drivers, and middle of the hood are all in good shape with only a few minor stress cracks. It is not that bad, but he said it will probably be about 300 in work to get it straight. Not really happy about that, but as everyone will tell me after this post, "You gotta pay to play."

yeah, iv heard of many paople having problems with the fitting of their sd hoods, the ne new ones are supposed to fit much better though with almost no adjustment.....but thats just what iv heard.

The fit is pretty good, he said it is one of the better fiberglass hoods he has seen, but I think, like me, he expected a little less adjustment.
