3800 Boost Problem

Ok, this has been happenin for a while...my car runs fine and all...but once i hit 90 or 100 the boost drops down sharp...i dont understand and i know this isnt right...the stock boost guage drops and i can feel the cars power drop...other than that everything runs fine...any suggestions of what this could be??

yeah you have a dhp, or after market pcm? if not get one i kinda had the same problem

Ya, I have a dhp..someone on the national forum said its a table in the pcm and to email dhp...so im tryin that now..

Could be that the SC belt is slipping on the pulley...it's pretty common. Check for abnormal belt wear and belt material on the underside of the hood.

had a similar issue and after replacing the spark plugs with Autolite 104's, everything is back up to top performance!

Its in the PCM...theres a table that you take out....Basicly, the computer reads how long your boost is on for, and after so many seconds is will shut off the boost for economy reasons. You just have to have someone edit that table out and you will be fine.
