It would add 1 - 2 degrees of timing if you had a scanner and knew where to put it.

From what I understand on Club GP I believe this tricks the PCM into reading low air intake temps. It's like a constant loop(since you splice into it) thus making the PCM advance timing. This one here is a bit more complicated allowing the user to believe he is controlling this with a knob...but it's the same thing as those radio shack resistors.

This is just a potentiometer. It's identical to what people use in the GP community for timing controls but probably without the stops. This would most likely work fine for the car if you had the variable timing tables in your PCM. It's not going to do what he advertises it does but it still has a use.
