You are talking about the sending unit that is screwed into the top of the tranny under the TB right? That comes with the autometer gauges.?

If so
a deep socket 10mm with 2 an extension and a swivel will get to the sending unit. Make sure to remove the smaller nut that holds the wires on first that way you dont get all the wires tangled while removing the sending unit from the tranny.

I do'nt think I am being clear.

I am getting rid of my tranny temp gauge. I am taking the sending unit off of my car.

I am assuming I will need a 1/8th inch bolt but how long does it have to be.
I want to return to "stock".

Sorry for being confusing Alex. Thanks for the help so far though.
