3800 question on removing my ss ic core...

ok, i have to rtv my gasket that sits on the intake manifold. when i pull everything off, will the rtv that i used to seal the core still stay intact. or do i have to pull it apart and clean the core and redo it.

I'd redo it. it would be a better seal..instead of using an old one.

I'd leave it, its not even been sealed for a week! All you are doing is lifting up the IC to put a sealant down to hold the intake gasket better correct? You do not need to break the aluminum core in half and re-seal that in my opinion, that is just making more work for yourself, being that it is only one week old...

...I would only break the core if there was a leak coming for the core itself.
