3800 Engine cover mat under hood

The matt thats attached to the hood must-of came out of the bracket on my car the belt (big belt) not the sc belt cut into it, so it was hanging I ripped half of it off... do I have to have that on there? anyone have an extra laying around if I need that

Well I don't have an aftermarket hood I have stock. I'll take it off then. DO I need to replace the belt now u think?

You dont have to have it. I believe it is a fire blanket if the engine catches fire.
I have one if you need it. I should be able to folt it and box it if you didnt mind.

my hood is chopped up.........I dont hace one either....

Besides....its cooler on the engine and makes your engine sound louder.
