3800 SHould I get a forge output shaft?

As most of you know, im getting a Intense racing trans put in with all the bells and whistles.

However, Im starting to think about not getting a forged output shaft and save an extra 500......

It seems like no ones ever breaks these and that it is always the input shaft.

SHould I get it or not? Advise please....


W this trans I do plan on getting heads and a cam.......which is very long time away since this trans is so much....then im done...

John as far as i can remember the only person who actually broke one was Zoomer. Dont quote me on that but another thing to think about is that when you build up something it doesnt break anymore but the next weak part does, obviously the amount of hp you have makes the difference but thats all i have to say.

If you're doing your burnouts correctly, skip it. I beleive they are actually just $199.99 though. It's not a lot of money to spend for peace of mind.

Im not saying your not going too but it takes alot of tourque to bust them. I'd skip it aswell.
