3800 another problem...

After leaving Hales last night I was on the E-way doing like 120+mph and noticed that once i got up to 126 or so my supercharger meter on the stock DIC would go back and forth at the halfway point. Whats up with that? I couldnt go any faster than 127mph :angry:

Um....can you say boost dumping?, i had the same problem wit mine, but at 95+, i talked to scott cook, and he sent me a new and improved pcm, fixed the prob...thank god, it was killing my trap speeds, gotta go get my 13.4 time slip now.....hehe..

The boost gauge surging sounds like the belt slipping. Check the belt for glazing or peeled rubbber.

How does the timing look at the top?

How often do you have to run at 127mph?

Not often but if i see open road like i had yesterday i usually do but again not that often

ok, but dont forget that Chrome wheels are heavy too, say 55lbs each, and you had stock wheels. Can you imagine if i had my stockers on. h34r:

The gatorbacks need to be replaced too often, the Napa belts are much better. With an oversized tensioner, I pulled a tendon getting my Napa belt on, but it hasn't slipped since I got it on. Make sure you get a belt size that'll barely fit.

What gatorback belt were you running before? 4060660? or 4060650? When you go to get the napa belt just ask them if they have a 60" (4060660) or a 50" (4060650) belt, they should be able to find one for you...

Well, the Gatorback suck in the reliability dept. Especially with extra tension. I use the gators cause they grab better. They strech faster cause of the rubber type. But in with non-slip pulley they are recomended for their grabbing ability.

ive got a carquest on right now, and No slip, and the pulley ive got on now Isnt a non-slip..."YET"...and this is on my Heavier to turn m112 hybrid
