3800 Can't play WMV files in WMP

When I try to play WMV files in WMP (I think it is version 9) the color is inversed but avi and mpg's work fine. I can play WMV files perfectly using another type of media player, but it is a pain to open certain files with a diff player. Any suggestions? Shoudl I try to upgrade to the new WMP and see if that helps?

Actually, the color isn't exactly inversed, I tried to take a screen shot of WMP with a file playing but that didn't work so I can't show you what is happening.

It is more like a rainbow of colors.
