3800 Misfires appear then disappear

I was at Dennys this morning for breakfast with some friends. I drove there and the car was acting fine.

Now I goto leave, and the car is surging and idling all over the place. I saw that the SES light was flashing, so I figured multiple misfires. Shut the car down, pop the hood, checked the wires to make sure they were plugged in all the way. Get back in the car and it was still doing it. I start limping the car home to atap, and the misfires go away. :dontknow:

I cleared the code and it hasnt come back yet. Im trying to figure out why the car started misfiring then stop 3 minutes later when nothing was wrong.


Any ideas??

which code was it? P0300? or a more specific one?

Grr, I dont remember the actual code.

It was 2 actual codes though. One was cylinder 2 misfire, then one was just engine misfire.

I had a set of new plugwires ordered, but I went out and got new plugs anyway just in case.
