3800 WTB ASAP: Transmission dipstick tube

Well, I called all the local Pontiac dealerships and no one has a transmission dipstick tube. I cracked mine during header install.

Anyone have an extra lying around? Need to buy ASAP.

where did you crack it? if it is high enough up you can still use it, just cap off the top until you can get another one here.

Take the stick out. Using a rubber stopper available at HOME DEPOT in the fittings and screws section. You can use that to cover the hole.


You can take out the rubber grommet that holds the stick in place. and use that as a base line for the size of the stopper you will need.

If you need to fill up tranny fluid than you might have a problem.. But you can get away with that until you receive a new dipstick.
