I sprayed it with a ton of PB Blaster, liquid wrench, and wd40 and I can't get the nut loose. It is covered in rust and now it is getting near rounded.
Doesn't sears have those "special" wrenches for rounded off nuts? Either way once you have a firm fitting wrench try and get the longest bar round the wrench to get as much leverage as possible. It took me two wrenches interlocked to screw the one on mine loose.
I know it is on the line. I am probably goign to go into firestone or someplace like that and ask if they will loosen the nut for me for $10 or something. Atleast if the car is in the air, it is easier to get to than lying on my back.
ya mine was stuck, i even bought some flare nut wrenches to try and get it off. i started to round it off so i took it to a shop by my house, cost me 35 bucks, not bad, at least i didn't have to worry about it.
I was at Napa this past weekend getting a fuel filter myself, and the guy behind the counter said he saw something in a catalog of theirs I might be interested in ordering. I wrench purposely for GM fuel filters??
