3800 Harmonic Balancer Pulley Removal?

How did you guys go about removing the harmonic balancer pulley? I have the pulley puller for it, but the bolts that hold the puller in place keep coming back out

you have to buy special size bolts from a hardware store, i have some, im not sure what size they are, i think hale knows the exact size

I bought the 1/4" fine thread bolts in the 3" length that were reccomended in Allowencers instructions, but they don't seem to be long enough. I am thinking that I need to go back to the hardware store tomorrow and find them in 4" length.

When I did mine I bought the puller but I had to grind one of the bolts down because there was something in the way of the threaded hole inside the pulley. So the diameter of the bolt was too big and would not let me thread into that hole. That could be your proplem. Look in there and see if you can see something in the way. The bolts should be the correct length.

Ok, I got it off. Thanks for your help. Now for the cam bolt. It appears to be a 28mm, can anyone verify that?
