3800 head lights

Anytime I turn my brights on even if my daylight running lights are on my lights turn off. Seems very strange... I know on my old car something like that happened when my hazards were stuck in the on position, but that isn't the case. Any information would be helpfull

have you been working on the car anyhwere adding gauges any electrical work recently? how long ago did it start happening and was it after you did anything to the car

nope nobody has touched my car. I noticed it a week or so ago but could be longer since I dont use my brights often. I do know that the first time I noticed it my heads up display kept showing my brights were on and they weren't. I guess that leads me to believe some sort of short?
