3800 Chevron Techron Fuel System Cleaner

I believe I was talking to Ron Vogel about this at IDD but not sure. My car has almost 70,000 and bought a bottle of Chevron Techron concentrate Fuel System Cleaner. Does this stuff work well cleaning fuel injectors. I really wanted to get mine balanced but don't have time. My IPW's are hitting 21, so I also don't know when to switch to larger injectors. I think I have some room left still.

So does this Chevron stuff work pretty well?

Yes, that stuff it the shit...I used one bottle per tankful in two consecutive tankfuls, changed the oil, and took my injectors over to Justin. At 80K miles, they flowed within 1% of each other. I've used the stuff in the past on other cars, and all I can say about this is it actually works very well.

Is an oil change necessary after using this?

No, but I change the oil more than normal to keep KR down. It's still good practice to change the oil after any detergent product. It may wash down the oil film on the cyl walls more than gasoline, and thin down the oil.
