I went to walmart with my gf and i had to stop in the automotive section, obviously :)

Anyways, I never knew they carried spark plugs, let alone Autolite 104's for like $3/pair. I have a few questions about them:

Autolite 104's are 2 heat ranges colder than stock, correct?
What should I gap them at?
Any other suggestions?

Thanks :)
James

Whats up James...

Here is some info for your Autolite 104's

If you are running a 3.4 pulley you can gap your autolite 104s @ .056-.057

If you are running a 3.25 pulley you can gap your autolite 104s @ .054-.055

If you are running stock use Autolite 605's

.056 should be more than adequate, no more than .058, no less than .054

3 bucks apiece damn thats high. I get them at napa warehouse for .99 over in Naperville/Aurora
You're grabbing the copper plugs I assume?

I just picked up some platinum 103's today after losing a copper 104 on the expressway @ 90mph.

Twas not a lot of fun and I had to clean the seat after that run.

$3/pair == 2 plugs...only about $.50 more ea. than you pay..if even that.

Mike K - How many miles were on them? I don't think a local place sells the platinum 104s though.

Also, I don't have a pulley to determine what size I should run :)

Didn't notice that you said 3/pair. Also 104's on a gt is a little cold I would think but since I don't read about the l36 at all maybe with the cam thats good enough to run it.Also surprised that you lost a copper plug since the burn colder then plat's. What did the plug look like when you lost it? 104's I think are three time colder then stock.(not totally sure I just know what works) :D
