3800 Yahoo messenger

I use yahoo messenger as well as AIM.


but for some reason, messenger keeps screwing up on my computer, it will lock up saying it caused some error, the screen goes blue..it closes...bogs the computer down..


and eventually i go back to the main screen.


I've done virsu scans, spyware scans....nothing found.

have run scan disk, disk defrag, but nothing found.


any ideas on what I could do? my computer is just running like crap lately and I dont' know why..it will hang too...

well.. you could try installing GAIM
http://gaim.sourceforge.net/downloads.php

it's pretty cool... lets you run AIM, YIM, MSN, ICQ all in 1 client...

if you don't wanna do that i'd try uninstalling Yahoo IM (YIM) and then reinstall...

I think its ok.

try uninstalling yahoo then reinstalling it.. i know it sounds dumb but I have done that and it has solved probs for me that were silmilar to yours..
