Quick cooling system dio

Got to dunkin today sitting in line and temp gauge started climbing, and climbing, and climbing... It never got to the over heat line, but it was definitely not where it used to be. Got to work, turned in heat, had great heat so I know water pump is pumping, but the fans never kicked on. Anyone know what temp they are supposed to kick on at? Do both run or just one? I assume I should check fuses and such, but I'm just planning so when I go on break I can get it fixed quick

Check the fan relays, common problem.

since the salt weather is over and your not a ham fisted idiot...you can use a pick or pocket screwdriver to pop the relay covers off and manually activate em to make find out if the secondary or primary side of the relay is experiencing the issue

i drove my intrepid for a whole two days with a rigged on relay due to a primary (trigger) side issue (bad wire)

Wasn't even op temp. Just started it, turned ac on, fans run. They cycle off for a few, then cycle back on

Dex blew out of the system last year when coolant elbow let go. Drove around all summer with water in block, draining it every week, then topped with green. Changed elbows and waterpump

I wonder if the radiator is clogged?

This kinda scares me cause the upper hose was by far hotter than lower... The greater the temp spread, the more restriction in radiator.. But I should have heard the fans kick on... Oh well, I'll drive it home and see what happens

I'm thinking partially sticking. Had decent heat, but bug temp diff in upper and lower hose. Obviously a restriction. Should have stat done shortly

Is that considered hot? Not familiar with 04+.

Fans will cycle with AC, so that's normal.

Temp sensor itself maybe?
