3800 Melted headlamp harness

..Well after 3 years running the 80/100 watt bulbs witout any problems.. I encountered one. :-(

For the past wekk my left drivers side lamp would glow when I turned on the lights.
ANd on my DIC and instriment cluster the HI_BEAM illuminator would light up very dimly..

SO I thought great a stupid wiring malfunction.

So The other day I took out the lamp amd looked at the harness. Well the harness part that pluf into the headlamp capsule had melted.
SO essentially the ground was touching the hi-beam causing a short of some sort..

Well as luck had It I had purchased a wring harness a cple years back becaus I was going to do the upgrade..

SO I replaced it and I have lights once again..

I had the same thing happen on my last car. I wont do that again, thats why i went with the Silverstars this time around.

Well, I guess I better get my shit together and replave my harness before I have a melt down. It's been a year almost......
