ive heard bad news, but not first hand, i havent actually seen there work, but many people say its bad. i for one do NOT trust a 400 dollar paint job

you get what you pay for. personally i wouldn't spend $400 on a paint job, when there are mods for our cars that cost more than that. pay the extra $$ and take it to a shop that does excellent work, i have also heard second-hand people that haven't been satisfied with the work done by maaco.

Pretty much all paint under 1,000 will be the same low quality paint job. So if you are not willing to pay more than that, you should go with maaco. Unless you find someone who will charge about 1,500 I would not expect much. You will see orange peel and it will scratch very easy.
It is tempting I am sure, but I would wave off

I've seen first hand the crappy job they did on a 69 Chevelle....if you are planning on painting it again in a year or two go for it, but if you want it to last forever....pay the extra money and go some place with a good reputation.

whatever u do decide however, NO paint job will EVER be as good as the one from the factory...
