Need some ideas on exhaust issue

I have a 07 grand prix gt (supercharged). Have been having the most annoying exhaust rattle ever. I finally tracked it down to a ceramic donut gasket in the flex pipe just upstream of the cat. It is loose and rattling (until it heats up). Any ideas on how to secure it? I don't want to break and remove it because I'm guessing the flex needs it to keep the heat from blasting through the metal. I also don't want to put anything upstream of the cat that could melt and end up clogging the cat. Any ideas?

Buddy of mine 06 GT non supercharged had I believe the same issue. Ended up just removing it and it's been fine since.

if you're talking about the metal collar that pops free and rattles I've had pretty good luck bending it a little with a screwdriver and then pumping it full of copper RTV and letting it cure in place
