new struts and springs?

My car is getting up there with mileage, 165k+ and counting and not feeling as smooth as before. Does anyone know of any good spring/strut combos for our cars that is somewhat affordable. Good ride quality is more important than perfomance handling but open to that as well.

I should still have my 02 Impala stock springs sitting at home (I don't think I threw them out.......). They we're solid. I only replaced them cuz I put in some SSC Lowering Springs and some new struts to go along with it... PM me if you're interested.

If you've got the struts and springs assembled, you can easily do it in your driveway. 8th gen Impala, 2nd gen wbody is stupid simple to do. Got mine done in a few hours. Probably would've been done in an hour to an hour and a half if one bolt wasn't rusted on.

Redid mine with OEM stuff....KYB struts and Moog springs. Got them off Rockauto.

Just thought I would update sorry for the delay. I ended up getting KYB preassembled struts and springs from partsgeek.com. Alos added:boink: rear moog swaybar endlinks and a rear wheel bearing for about $600. It drives great again. thanks for the tips.

you are right did it int he garage it was prety straight forward. Thr fronts went much quicker than the rears but overall a fairly straight forward job.

You can assemble them on car if you have a good jack. Just remove retaining nut and lift car to de-compress spring. SLOWLY lower car onto new spring to compress. Might be worth it to do pre-assembled ones if you want new top plates though.

I paid $50 to get em assembled. Safer that way. Just my $0.02.
