I decided to try and install 04+ red gauge cluster needles into my car getting rid of the nasty looking stock yellowish colored needles. So I bought a 04 cluster on ebay for next to nothing and once you get everything apart you just swap the needles. Pretty straight forward.
Before shot
After. Yeah it was dark when I finished.
After you set the needles you need to go for a drive with out putting the dash back together and make sure everything is accurate. Having a scanner helps a lot with this so your not guessing where the needles go.
Also the stock speedo needle on the 04 cluster is really long so if your good you can cut the tip off with a razor blade and lightly sand it smoother or snag 2 RPM needles. One last thing is that with the key off the temp and fuel gauge needles now fall all the way to the bottom, key on, everything is normal. I am not sure why by just changing the needles it does this now.
And that's it.
