98 GP GT Turbo build thread!

Hey guys, couple months ago I picked up a 98 GTX clone (n/a) with intentions of top swapping/ built heads/ cam all that. Then all of a sudden it dawned on me.... why not go turbo?

SO I went on a hunt trying to find someone to trade with and a few weeks later I did.

L67 heads 105# springs, hardened retainers, Vitton valve seals, Si valves, Ported exhaust side, resurfaced and ready for install

Turbonetics T62 turbo ( V band everything)
Stattama crossover
Stock exhaust manifolds (rear blocked EGR)

Engine putback will begin this weekend, if anyone is willing to come help you are more than welcome to do so!!!

I'm confused what you are using for the upper and lower

get rid of those 105s and get 130s with a double roller... you don't want to limit yourself because you went with 105s from the start

bored over block? :ugh: and no, dont get an high comp.. find a s/c motor

it seems like you have a bunch of big power stuff for parts but also using stock stuff that might hold you back?

just not sure what your end goal is with the car

what do you have or have planned for the trans?
