Ps I searched the forum first and found nothing.....

With that said my car will not start its like the battery is dead but its not I had them warranty replace battery I took starter and alt in to be tested all passed. Now for what's on it... I have hid head lights and fogs I have a 10 inch sub and 500 amp with 2 fared cap. Led taillights mirror indicators and a wide band with gauge and after market alarm... Oh and no cd player straight weird to cell phone and yes amps are shutting off I also yanked fuse to it.... Still stumped ps I replaced positive battery cable when I installed stereo. I also have the volt plug to up the volts from alt and I have the wire from alt to fuse box.... So any ideas it just started dying this

It wont crank? Test for voltage drop from the battery to the starter. Basically get a multimeter, on volts, and put one lead on the battery positive terminal, and the other lead on the B+ terminal on the starter a d crank it over. You should see very low voltage dropped.

Check all grounds and power cables and do a voltage drop test like stated

I replaced power cable with bigger one when I installed stereo and I grounded the battery to the block and front cradle and then one to the rails under the floor boards

So you just instaled the new powe cable or its been on there? Even tho its a new battery dont rule that out. When I worked at Napa Ive had a couple come DOA. I'd have it load tested.

Is the starter clicking or doing anything?

Check for power at the solenoid S terminal . Is it not cranking at all?

Ok when it happens and this doesn't happen all the time it won't crank and my fuel pump Is loud as hell and it won't click on... But I can run lights stereo...

The last Batt they switched out optima only had 380 cool cranking amps

380 cca is too small a battery for winter, but shouldn't be an issue for summer.... Has the car started since you removed the stereo? The BCMs in these cars do weird shit if the stereo is unplugged. Also, check all the fuses in both panels as a blown fuse in the security or BCM/PCM wiring could cause this.

yeah your gonna have to make sure the starter is getting power, maybe try to start it in neutral to rule out the range position switch, the ignition switches do go out in them, you may need to replace it or tear it apart and clean the contacts.

see if the starter is getting power at the purple wire at the solenoid when cranking, if you are use a set of jumper cables to "add" a temporary battery to block ground and a batt + to starter pos terminal (be carefull)

do more testing and get back to us

The stereo has been out over a year this just started doing it and its not regular I think its a ignition deal I rocked back an forth once and it started so I am wondering
