I wonder if they (the yard) would cut the section I need. I don't have a reciprocating saw and don't need the whole system.

Its called u-pull it for a reason... Crawl under the car and cut the piece off if that is all you want. A simple hacksaw will work. OR have a exhaust shop fab up a piece. Not really sure what you are trying todo here.

its actually more of a "T" than a "Y"...which is Y it sucks
