đź’¦ Detailing Buick Grand National One Step Polish.

Hey guys! I've just graduated college and am now detailing full time. The first car in the books was this beautiful 44k original mile, original paint, Buick Grand National. The owner wanted it looking good again and I was given the challenge of restoring the paint to a degree that was realistic. The 33 year old paint only had three mils of paint left on the entire car (some areas less) as it had been cut a few times in the past, so I had to be extremely careful not to remove too much paint. Not only did we restore the paint but we also performed a full interior detail.

Process:
Two Bucket Wash
Foam Prewash
Wheels cleaned using Griots Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner and Rubber Cleaner
Clayed using Nanoskin fine grade wash mitt
Polished using M205 on an orange lake country foam cutting pad and Menzerna 3800 on a white lake country foam pad
Flex XC3401
Waxed

congrats on the graduation, and damn that came out amazing!

Thank you! Glad to finally be done with school.

Black. Hardest color to keep up but best looking when it is.

Black is my favorite on any car and my favorite to detail. It's certainly a money maker lol

:fu: such a sexy car. Nice job!

I feel like everyone is spoiled with modern cars cranking out stupid hp pretty much from factory that alot of cars dont get any attention anymore.

Badass "classic" dunno if thats right word but im sure you people get what im saying.

Beautiful.

I agree. That's one of the reasons I don't want to sell my Cobra. It's clean, it's low, and it's loud. But it ain't fast lol. As much as I would love a new 5.0 I'd rather keep my car as it grows rarer and rarer as the days go by.

Looks great. Those cars had poor paint from the factory. So always impressive to see a survivor looking so good.

Horrible paint from the factory!

dem wheels
car looks great, how do you like the clay mitts ?

Thanks! They clay mitts are great however they can marr the paint if you do not have enough lubrication so you do have to be careful. It won't mar it bad but will require some polishing afterwards. For example I clayed my truck with it which is coated in 22PLE and it kinda put some light marring in the doors but no where else... So now I gotta fix it. :tear:
