zak is a kid. i've never met anyone that i think had a top lap and i always wondered if it would be skinny light kids, or just ninjas, or of course the combo.

When we had JR leagues, those were the fastest times. Kids that were 13-15 and probably 80lbs. The employee who had the actual fastest laps but wasn't allowed to advertise was about 140lbs and around 25-26 at the time.

yes, i think they are at full power most of the time for most groups though?

when i was in dubai at the outdoor kartdrome, they were having a company vs. company race going on, men and women's class. super cool. they also equalized weights on the karts.

What's crazy is a lot of those kids went on to have careers in racing. One kid races for Bentley

did you work at CIR? how did you weigh them down there? i thought pro stuff it was weights attached to seats somehow. the dubai karts look like a cool system but i figured 99% of kart places out there wouldn't have that.

no surprise fast kart kids go on to be badasses.

fyi most women i have ever seen karting was in UAE by far. in 2015 and 2016 at yas kartzone in abu dhabi i saw groups of muslim women arrive themselves to drive, some first time some not. with no guy friends, boyfriends, brothers, etc. with them. lots at dubai outdoor kartdrome too.

in the women's class for the corporation vs. corporation championship, after they were done they were all hugging eachother and congratulatory and stuff.

with the guys, a few guys were arguing pretty hard, one guy came into the pits wicked hot, throwing shit etc. lol.

I did. I was the mechanic in Addison. We had plates that sandwiched the bars next to the side pods and lead plates went over the studs and then another plate on top. I think the max we could add was 80lbs per kart
