Looks cool, don't like the new makeup though. I think this guy is going to fail in playing Freddy. I'm a huge Freddy Krueger fan, and nobody can live up to Robert Englunds portrayal. Little known fact: Elm street is based off of Elm street in Wheaton, IL.

They shot parts of this up by me in Barrington. From what I remember a friend of mine's house was used in the movie... a ton of kids from my area were extras and such in it too... should be good.

I like the idea of throwing the origin into it like that. It worked really well for Rob Zombies "Halloween" take IMO.

Remember, no one thought Jack Nicholson's Joker could be bestest... and Health Ledger blew that out of the water. Im definatly up for seeing it.

I hope they leave out the cheesy humor. The last few 'Nightmares' tried putting terrible Freddy one-liner's and many of the victims met with campy demises. Freddy turned one girl into a cockroach and crushed her, how stupid...

saw this yesterday, do want. michael bay and horror movies = pretty damn impressive. i love any sort of horror movie, be it low budget or higher budget. easily my favorite kind of movies.

i like the direction of this already, its like first nightmare on elm street, freddy isnt a comedian, dont get me wrong, i laughed at alot of it still and enjoyed it, but i want a darker freddy, this looks to be heading that way for sure
