I think this car was just hidden behind the other car, it's all perspective. You can kind of see something on the roof of the non-ghost car as it pulls closer to the turn.

Two other things stand out to me.

1) No debris field from the impact. Debris from headlight housings, grill pieces, bumper cover, etc on the BMW and then moulding pieces and trim from the toyota or whatever it is being hit.

2) No front end deformation on the BMW. If that BMW "T'd" it like it did, something would've been damaged enough to pull off a bumper cover, corner of the fender deformation, etc. AND the BMW doesn't show any movement to the right upon impact.
