Starbucks Verismo Espresso Pods VS. ????????

We drink a lot of coffee, not excessive, but doubles, sometimes more than one a day. We have a Starbucks Verismo machine and the pods are about $1 per pod. We've been doing this for years and it is fine, but I started wondering what others do.

At $1 per pod we're close to $5 a day, it isn't horrible, but I know there are cheaper options. I sometimes find these on sale on Ebay or other sites and they come out to $0.65 a day or so.

I know we're not the only old fuckers who drink a lot of coffee, what do you guys do? I'm fine with the expense if a different machine if we're saving in the long run. These Verismo machines aren't the most reliable anyway.

I have a Nespresso. Capsels are +/- 8.00 per pack or you can buy individually on their website.

I like my machine. Coffee is good and does it's job.

i have a nespresso as well. thought they were supposed to have some solid technical design, although a lot less options than something like keurigs. these things are kinda wasteful as fuck with all those pods either way though.

Yea, the pods are what suck. It would be great to buy our own espresso and reuse a pod of some sort. I know you can do that with the regular coffee, but not sure who makes what for espresso since it needs more pressure.

Ever considered buying a legit espresso machine? I know you're looking at $1000+ but the coffee has to come out being much cheaper. If you're spending $5/day minimum, it would seem like a worthwhile investment

We buy whole beans and a pound lasts a week for us.

Keurig with Dunkin Donuts k-cups....tastes delicious!

K cup coffee is good for a caffeine fix. Does not taste even close to a French press or even a pot of drip coffee.

I like the k cup taste. I think it tastes close to what I buy at Dunkin Donuts fresh from them. I drink my coffee black, maybe that makes a difference...I don't know.

I'm no snob though, and also drink Miller Lite instead of (insert hipster microbrew here)

seems a pretty legit way to go. i'd buy that fucker in less than a year... a buddy does have one.
