All the cheap crap box sets will be the same. Analog BNC with separate power. Proprietary cameras, proprietary DVR, proprietary software and the app and your cameras run through China if you want to view them remotely. Buy a brand and you are stuck with it. And it's garbage software on top of it.

Milestone Xprotect GO (free VMS software, limited to 8 cameras and 5 days of recordings but it's free enterprise video software) + an old PC +dyndns to access your system remotely.

8 port Poe switch, powers 4 cameras. (50$)

Some rj45 cat5e cable or cat6

And then any 4 IP poe cameras you want pretty much (50$+ per camera).

No proprietary equipment, add any cameras to the system, and you can also push video from your phone and have it record on your NVR at home.
