TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — A legally disabled woman stranded on the side of the road was denied a tow because she had a Bernie Sanders bumper sticker, according to WTVD.

Ken Shupe of Shupee Max Towing in Traveler's Rest, South Carolina, said he was fine with his choice.

"Something came over me. I think the Lord came to me, and he just said get in the truck and leave," Shupe said. "And when I got in my truck, you know, I was so proud, because I felt like I finally drew a line in the sand and stood up for what I believed."

The driver, Cassy McWade, suffers from Crohn's disease, fibromyalgia and arthritis, and could not get her regular mechanic to come to her aid after a crash left her stranded on the highway.

She has a Bernie Sanders sticker on her rear bumper.

McWade said that Shupe started to prepare her car for towing, but later said, "I can't tow you."

"My first instinct was, 'There must be something wrong with the car,'" McWade told WLOS. "And he says, 'No, you're a Bernie supporter.' And I was ,like, 'Wait, really?' And he says, 'Yes ma'am,' and just walks away."

Shupe argued that Sanders supporters in the past have failed to pay their bills and he had decided that he was done doing business with them.

He later told WTVD that he would have stood by his decision even if he had known McWade was disabled.

Disabled? So she has diarrhea and is probably a frequent flyer drug seeker at the local hospital. I'm sure some people legit have fibromyalgia, but every person who we saw a couple times a month who were at a 10/10 in pain and knew the exact dose of narcotic pain med they needed all while texting and watching tv claimed to have fibromyalgia.
