Alright I am starting a build thread. I have owned this 95 GSX for a few years now. I really didn't start working on it until last summer. This summer I finally got it running but its been a nightmare. Back in May I did a 6 bolt swap, upon start up the motor jumped timing within 10 mins of running.
Pissed off I pulled the motor and sold it and bought another off a friend. This motor ran fine until last month. I found a bunch of metal flakes in the the oil and inside the oil filter, I dropped the oil pan and found metal shaving and chunks. Also had low compression in cylinder 1. Probably my fault as it wasn't tuned and I drove it anyways. So now its time for a rebuild, lesson learned.
Mods so far...FP green HTA turbo, ECMLINK V3, FMIC, Fuel lab fuel pressure regulator and filter, 780cc injectors, PR 02 housing, megan downpipe and exhaust, XTD 6 puck clutch(cheap but it works), Tokico suspension.
Wishlist...Forged internals, fp exhaust manifold, gsc2 or kelford cams, Cam gears, bigger injectors to run E85, Built manual Trans by shep, oh and I should be getting a paint job this winter. Good friend of mine paints cars for a living so it wont cost much for me to get it done so I minus well.
And please let it snow this winter, the more it snows the more money I make and the more I can accomplish. If this build fails I'm moving on and getting a WS6.
