Carnage should get his (its) own movie. If these are anything like the campy Spiderman or even worse Spawn movies I'll be pissed. Although Todd McFarlane is supposed to be remaking Spawn, if he's as smart as he claims to be he'll make it dark and R rated like the comics.

It was originally screened as R, but they made changes to bring it back to PG-13.

Venom with out Spiderman is retarded. They need to introduce him in a Spiderman movies before giving him his own.

Venom is about as much of a bad guy as Deadpool. DC gave catwoman her own movie.

Yeah, but Deadpool and that particular Catwoman were 'anit-heroes' not 'bad guys'...at least in my opinion.

So is venom. Have you ever read Maximum Carnage, Lethal Protector or The Enemy Within? Also Agent Venom where the government has taken over the symbiote and given it to Flash Thompson is all hero.

I guess I don't know as much about his origins as I thought.

He was a villain in his origins. He always hated Spiderman but never killed anyone he deemed as "innocent". In the early-mid 90's there were quite a few story arcs where he became an anti-hero and actually protected San Francisco. That was Lethal Protector and The Enemy Within. In Maximum Carnage he teamed up with Spiderman to fight Carnage (the only person he hates more than Spiderman). So a standalone makes sense but not before his introduction in a Spiderman movie.

R rated doesnt make a better film but it does seem to let the directors and actors have far more freedom.
