I like it b/c it's not a pontoon but has similar seating arrangements of one, which is the biggest pro of a pontoon.... Family liked it too but maybe someone here who knows their boats could give some more direction and advice
My Uncle has a Hurricane deck boat. Great, great boat. Handles pretty well, creates a decent wake for tubing/wakeboarding, can hold 11 people on a speedboat according to the USCG.

They may deck boat hulls with legit pontoon tops, see my link above.

The Hurricane deck boats are a real nice solution. Some speed / power, nice ride / comfort, tubing, skiing, etc, but also the space of a pontoon.

Chris Craft "Viking" and the Kayot deck boats were also solid deck boats

And to the pontoon speed question the new ones Moore out pretty good, if you get into a tri toon they run in the mid 50's with a 200-250hp outboard, they have pontoon top speed runs in lake of the ozarks I think the lake record is 108

I believe it came painted with the flames from the factory, as ive seen pictures of two others boats with the same ones. I thought it was vinyl initially, unfortunately its not though. I spent about 5 hours scraping paint today with a plastic putty knife, using some citrus based stripper that i saw recommended on a few forums. Some people were talking about using oven cleaner too, i might give that a shot in a not so conspicuous spot.

I just used oven cleaner last weekend to remove painted on pin stripes. Spray it on, let it sit about 5 min, wipe it off. Just throw some wax on afterward.

Most of the newer pontoons will go 30, that's plenty fast for tubing, but yeah they cost as much as a regular boat, and the tritoons are pretty expensive also, a friend of mine just sold an 09' tritoon with a 250 merc on the back for 40k it would almost keep up with my powerplay but still had room for 10+ people

Flames are completely off of the hull sides now! I need to buff the port side still, and i'll remove the flames off of the bow later this week. Needs to be re-numbered, plug change and just cleaned inside and shes ready to go for tomorrow in lake MI.

came up with a name for it too.

While you are at it Jared, look at the cap and rotor. The contacts corrode really easily. It's about $30 worth of parts.

Post some pics!

I'm thinking about holding off on a new dd for a year or so and getting a boat. Been looking at 04ish wakesetters. I'm stuck on the integrated forward tower design.
And info opinions on them?
It'll be my first boat. Looking to hold about 8 people and keep the price in the low 30s as that's about what I can comfortably afford.
