i finished my IRS swap recently.
I've been noticing im getting a little vibe over 50 mph
i havent gone much faster yet cuz i havent been out on the highway yet, so i dunno if it gets worse as i go faster or if it goes away
is there a certain way to bolt on the D/S when u put it back on the diff
are you supposed to do a cross pattern like you do on lug nuts, cuz i just went around in a cirlce and bolted on the 4 bolts
im gonna have to drop the irs again next week to put on subframe bushings(fun fun) so ill try doing a cross pattern next time and see if it helps.
also
is there any way to get rid of the drivetrain slack in our cars
i noticed its especially bad on the irs
i remember it from my 99 cobra so i wasnt worried about it when i put the irs in and noticed it.
please tell me there is somethin i can do about this
its not a big deal at all its just one of those little things that bothers u
thanks all.

Justin

I had a bad vibe once over 80+ MPH when I removed/replaced the transmission. The problem was the alignment of the transmission.

Read the service advisory and it said to leave the transmission crossmember bolts loose and lower the car to the ground. Then drive reverse 3 feet and then forward 3 feet and then tighten the bolts. It worked for me.

i put the irs in(i had a solid before) and now it vibes
it almost seems like its gone away tho
it cud be my really f'ed up alignment i thought it was the d/s

ill have to look at it again

It's still worth a try. Chances are pretty good the new rear end is not in the exact same position as the old one. That could be throwing you out of whack similar to Vince's issue.
