Anyone got an idea of what torque in ft/lbs to use for 3/8-24 Zinc Grade 8 bolts w/ medium strength loctite #242?

There is quite a range on this chart and I know lubricant plays a large role in proper torque. The Loctite is #242 P/N 24221.

What are the bolts for, Vince?

That thing that I was going to ship to your powerwashing co. The supplied bolts are UNC Grade 5, I wanted to go w/ Grade 8 so I came up with Fine Thread. I went 58 ft/lb's which is probably too tight since I was using loctite. I found some charts that said only 37 ft/lbs for dry installation. Ford has some similar size bolts w/ loctite used for seat belt restraint system. I am going to try and look up those #'s. :alcoholic

It is installed now, I will be doing some pictures soon, perhaps. :headbang:
